MERCERIsEd MERINO™ While australian Merino wool is regarded by many as one of the finest and softest fibres in the world, thanks to an innovative mercerising process it now feels even finer and softer. The process is equivalent to using a Merino fibre an average of two microns finer, which gives aWi’s new Mercerised Merino™ range such a smooth surface finish. The range is both versatile and stylish. it is lightweight with great drape and luxurious handle, making it ideal for a wide range of apparel – from trans-seasonal casual wear to sophisticated fashion wear. it also enhances colours, so it can be easily adapted to different looks and styles. The technology used for Mercerised Merino™ is generally applied during the early stage of processing, feature products from both national and exclusive brand sources. The technology used for the Merino Touch™ intimates range uses processes such as decatising and knitting structures engineered to maximise stretch and recovery. additional applications suited to Merino Touch™ intimates include micro-encapsulation, which can provide health and wellbeing benefits.
